Department of Economics and Statistics (DES), a department of Tata Services Ltd. DES, has launched a new website - www.statisticsofindia.com for the benefit of the subscribers of Statistical Outline of India (SOI). DES respects the privacy of its users and is committed to protect it in all respects.
With a view to offer the most enriching and holistic internet experience to its users, DES offers SOI subscribers a vast repository of data and information spread across different research categories. The online services are offered to the subscribers of SOI through a unique auto-generated username and password, which is provided by DES in every copy of the SOI. Users are provided with the facility to change the password, and personal details whenever desired. The information about the user as collected by DES include: (a) information supplied by users and (b) information automatically tracked while navigation.
To avail the services on our site, users are required to provide certain information for the registration process namely:- a) your name, b) email address, c) sex, d) age, e) PIN code etc., and / or your occupation, interests, and the like. The Information as supplied by the users enables us to understand the needs of the users and provide the most relevant contents. If we use this information in a manner different than the purpose for which it was collected, then we will ask for your consent prior to such use.
In future, we may furnish aggregated statistical data on the nature of subscribers visiting our site to potential advertisers on our site.
